Vivafestival, Viva festival, Vital International Video Art Festival
VIVA In this World of globalisation were we believe that the Internet informs us from most everything and we hardly take the necessary time to live, the Video Art is a Form of Art which ask the viewer for reflection and time to see the Work till the end instead of just walking by. VIVA (Vital International Video Art) was conceived to create several locations around the World where international Video Artist will find a meeting point for their intellectual discourse in the visual arts. With its main Location in Madrid, Spain, it’s a “Travelling Exhibition with Festival Format” dedicated to the electronical and new technological art, as an answer to the new wave of experimental forms of expression. In collaboration with International Curators, Galleries, Private Collections and Institutions, VIVA builds up an international net to be able to bring the best of international works and is organised to promote artists worldwide through a personal invitation to participate. From a cultural point of view the Festival is originated as an educational project with Promotional Characteristics there for the participation of the Artists, Curators, Institutions, Galleries and Private Collections is Altruistic. The Idea is to present every year a new selection to the Public based on the criteria of quality and intellectual discourse of the Works as well as the capacity to transform the point of view of the audience through the change of perspective by separating the elements to which they belong, changing its intrinsic meaning. The
specific requires and needs of The Single Channel Video Art works
develop VIVA
in to a “Travelling Exhibition with Festival Format”
as the best procedure to show the works as the Artist intended them,
taking in consideration the time and structure of the Pieces which
should be seen from the begin to be able to understand there meaning. VIVA is an answer for all those which are evolved in this Matter, not only by trying to give a solution to the deserved appropriate presentation to the artists Work, but also to the Exhibition Spaces which are confronted to this problematic and were also unhappy by the way they were forced to show the Works. Through out the “Festival Format” for exhibiting the Single Channel Video Art Works the Audience has the chance to visualise the pieces in its full glory, and the Exhibition space has the opportunity to show the interacting and interchange of Works from all over the World, giving to their Audience the possibility to create their own criteria. In
this new wave of experimental forms of expression and opening up to
the totality of the World as a scenario of the hole, were near and
far are no more a criteria to stop the communication, the VIVA sees the World as a Stage where in conventional and non conventional
spaces finds its way to reach also an audience which does not take
as insuperable any Frontier.
